Fatherhood Program

Program Overview

MomsFirst partners with the Transparency Program to offer home visits that supports fathers and father figures of mothers enrolled in the MomsFirst program.

Fatherhood participants receive personalized case management focused on parenting education, employment and education assistance, goal setting, co-parenting and relationship building. Fathers are also connected to helpful community resources. The Fatherhood program meets dad where they are, making it easier to stay involved and build a strong foundation for their child’s future.

Fatherhood Talk Thursday

Fatherhood Talk Thursday is a virtual meeting held every third Thursday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This gathering is designed to support and empower fathers by sharing up-to-date information and helpful education that strengthens dads and their families. During the meeting, fathers connect to share ideas, learn new ways to parent, and find important resources and services to help their families grow stronger. Join us to connect with other dads, learn valuable tips, and get the support you need to build a healthy family.

  • “The Fatherhood program supported me during the birth of my first child. I received resources and items for myself, my family and my child to be. I received information on birth education and supportive services that I did not know about.”

  • “At 16, I was in a dark place, struggling with addiction and facing an unplanned pregnancy. It was my first kid, and I wouldn’t have made it without Mr. White. He gave me the confidence and knowledge to step up as a dad. I learned about infant mortality in my city and got the tools to help change that. My whole family got involved, and I’m still part of the program. I look at who I am now and can’t believe how far I’ve come, and it’s all thanks to this program.”

  • “I wasn’t ready to be a dad, but this program gave me everything I needed and more. From mental health support to baby supplies, co-parenting tips, and real talk on maternal health, they had my back. The peer groups helped the most! Now I’m a leader, helping new dads find their way like I did.”

  • “I had nowhere to turn—no family, no job, no insurance, and caught up in legal trouble. By the grace of God, I found Mr. White and the MomsFirst Fatherhood Program. Now I got all that, support, a job, cleared up my legal stuff, and I’m on track to be the dad I’m supposed to be. This program changed my life. Big thanks!”

  • “I connected with other first-time dads like me and got real game from men who’d just been through it. This program’s been the biggest support I’ve had. It helped me show up. It gave me drive, structure, and the knowledge to make real changes. That’s been major for my growth. I’m still looking forward to the guidance and support as I keep moving forward.”
