15th Annual Father's Walk

An important walk for education and quality of life.
This year’s Annual Fathers Walk for public, private, and charter schools throughout Cuyahoga County will likely shift to a virtual format at most schools as the year began with remote learning for many students. Some schools holding class in person may host a safe event with social distancing and masks.
Fathers and other male mentors are encouraged to be involved in their child(ren)s education on this date and throughout the school year! Please support the thousands of fathers, uncles, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, brothers and mentors that step up to support the education of children in their lives.
Register – Register for the virtual walk. The event will feature Brandon Simmons of WKYC Studios as MC; author Margaret Bernstein reading her new children's book about the event, and the Fathers Walk pledge, led by community fathers.
Spread the word - Promote the Virtual Fathers Walk with your families and on your social media. Use the hashtag #NEOFathersWalk or #FathersWalk. Also, please reach out to fathers and male mentors to engage them in their children's education.
Snap a photo – Take picture of your walk to school, morning breakfast or some other way you help a child get ready for school and share it with us. Post and tag #NEOFathersWalk or #FathersWalk or email Theresa Thomas at Theresa.Thomas@jfs.ohio.gov
