Climb out of the Darkness Cleveland is a family friendly walk to raise awareness of maternal mental health issues and Perianatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) such as postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, postpartum OCD, postpartum psychosis, and prenatal depression or anxiety. Funds benefit Postpartum Support International, a nonprofit organization that provides education, awareness, online and telephone support, and linkaged to local resources for families. Postpartum Support International also directs funds back to state chapters of their organization providing a direct benefit back to local families. The walk will include refreshments, stories from survivors, and kid friendly activities.

Every participant that raises $100 by June 1st will earn a Climb t-shirt.
A collaboration between Resilient Mamas, Nurtured Foundation Doula Services, Mother Rising, Lakefront Psychology, the POEM Support Group, and Circle of Life Birth Services has been formed to bring mothers together in support and community to decrease stigma related to maternal mental health issues and make sure Cleveland families know there is help and there is hope.
