Join us in enjoying Open Streets this summer in Cleveland!

We know that exercising and spending time outside can keep us healthy, both mentally and physically. But it can sometimes feel like an unpleasant chore, especially if there are not convenient, safe, welcoming, and accessible places to be active. What if there were an opportunity right outside your door to meet new people, try new activities, and have fun while being healthy? Come to ciCLEvia this summer to do all of those things and more!

A spin on the Spanish term ciclovía, which translates to “bicycle paths,” ciCLEvia is a family-oriented, neighborhood-based movement in Cleveland where streets are temporarily closed to cars and open to people, enabling them to walk, jog, bike, and skate—in fact, all forms of people-powered movement are welcome! In addition to the open street, engaging programming and attractions such as music, Zumba, yoga, and healthy food demonstrations will be located in parking lots and parcels along the route.

We hope to see you at this temporary public park to play, eat, walk, and roll!

This is brought to you by the Healthy Cleveland Initiative, Cleveland Department of Public Health, Sustainable Cleveland, Age Friendly Cleveland, Bike Cleveland, the MetroHealth System, Ward 14, Saint Luke's Foundation, Mt. Sinai Foundation and many other community partners.

Visit www.ciCLEvia.com for more information. If you are interested in volunteering, hosting an activity along the route or sponsorship, please email info@ciCLEvia.com.
