Community Consortium

MomsFirst and Lexington Bell Community Center have partnered to establish the Cleveland Infant Vitality Community Consortium (CIVCC), a collaborative initiative aimed at uniting families, healthcare providers, and community organizations to reduce infant mortality in Cleveland.

Cleveland has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the country, impacting mostly Black and Brown families. CIVCC goals are to:

  • Reduce preventable infant deaths

  • Improve maternal health outcomes

  • Expand access to maternal health education and resources

  • Build a stronger, healthier community by addressing health disparities

  • Advocate for systemic changes that benefit families and children

Through collaborative efforts, CIVCC aims to create lasting change and ensure that all infants have the opportunity to celebrate their first birthdays.

  • Special Guest Speakers

  • Workshops on public health advocacy, family health, and wellness

  • Networking opportunities for healthcare and social service providers
